The subject of this article was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 7. This includes items and quests that can no longer be obtained or are now deprecated.
The in-game information in this article is kept purely for historical purposes. Comment by SkyrimVeteran y'know the fact that you can only get these when your lvl when there are stuff to get under lvl 60 would kind of upset some people. Comment by Chilela As of 7. Comment by littlekeloid08 I thought that these would no longer be dropping from PVP world quests, but they finally were rewarded from Operation Murloc Freedom today.
Comment by narmifilla95 The drop rate of these Marks of Honor are horrible and for the most part the horrible implementation.
If we win it's not guaranteed that it will drop, and if we lose, we don't get anything at all. I did 5 BG's, winning all of them in a row and didn't get a single one other than the usual PVP armor and trinkets. They Blizzard really need to increase the drop rate and better implementation in future patches, otherwise losing in a BG early on is just not that worth while to continue. Comment by Monomatapa The marks are account-bound, so if you have a toon you use for PvP, who is swamped with marks: Send them to a "pacifistic" toon, so you can buy cool looking ensembles on them too!
Comment by stickshift I'm not familiar with pvp currency. I DO know that Blizz is sneaky with quietly making things obsolete see Nethershard. I've been stockpiling Mark of Honors so many mogging options for months now and want to know; Should I be concerned with this currency being replaced anytime in the near future? Or will these probably be safe until the next expansion?
Thanks ahead of time to the experienced pvper who can give me an accurate time I should sit down and spend a day bulking up my xmog. Comment by Stormbringer did they change something in the pvp world quest? Comment by NeinnaWR The world quests that reward these seem to come and go in lumps.
I was worried they'd been reworked or removed because I check a couple times a day for about a week and no PVP WQ offered any. Finally one popped up, and now I've had about 4 WQs these past 2ish weeks that offer them. So don't worry if you don't see them for a while, chances are none of the WQs offering them happen to be up. Just give it a week or so and you'll have more quests pop up randomly.
Comment by jjanchan Marks of Honor are used to purchase various PvP armor set ensembles and weapon arsenals , which add transmog appearances to your collection. Each of the sections below outlines the various ensembles and arsenals available. There are notes in the sections that will help you save some Marks of Honor , as there are a few alternative sources for some of the gear.
Armor Ensembles Ensembles are available at various vendors for 12 Mark of Honor each, and include appearances for 7 to 8 slots: chest, feet, hands, head, legs, shoulder, waist, wrist and sometimes back. Some notes: "Using" an ensemble will add the appearances for the slots to your transmog collection. When you use an ensemble, you will immediately granted an achievement for obtaining the full armor set for that PvP season or seasons unless you have the achievement already Note that buying missing items individually e.
In some cases, if you have some of the slot appearances, it can be cheaper to buy the missing items rather than the full ensemble. The various armor ensembles up to Legion are listed below, along with vendors, locations, and associated achievements.
Click the name of any ensemble to see the full list of available sets. Mouseover any listed coordinates to see a map, or click them to see a larger version.
Completing either the Dreadful or Malevolent Gladiator's set will grant the achievement for season Not that individual pieces for these sets are not sold separately, and in addition there are no weapon appearances for these seasons. Weapon Arsenals Arsenals are available at various vendors for 80 Mark of Honor each, and include appearances for various PvP weapons. Some notes: "Using" an arsenal will add the appearances for multiple weapons to your transmog collection. Notably, the arsenal is unique in that it will teach you ALL weapons from that season, even weapons your current class cannot use.
As an example: if you buy Arsenal: Tyrannical Gladiator's Weapons and learn it on a Shaman , you will learn the appearances for all Season 13 weapons, including Tyrannical Gladiator's Heavy Crossbow crossbow even though your Shaman cannot use crossbows. Your Hunter alt CAN use this appearance now though, since Arsenal: Tyrannical Gladiator's Weapons grants every weapon appearance for the appropriate season to your account-wide transmog collection!
The arsenal will grant all weapon appearances for the opposite faction, only usable by a character of that faction. Note that in many seasons the weapons had different colour schemes across factions. The above is the reason that arsenals cost 80 Mark of Honor each.
If you only want a selected few weapon appearances or the appearances only for your main, it is often cheaper to buy the individual weapons for appearances. If you prefer to have every weapon appearance for a season, including those for any weapons your alts can use, the arsenal is cheaper to buy. For some of the earlier seasons, there are individual weapons that share models, because in the past some weapons were designated Main Hand, and other matching weapons would be exclusive to the off-hand.
They've since been changed to One-hand, meaning they can be transmogged onto both weapons when dual wielding. For example, Gladiator's Fleshslicer and Gladiator's Ripper have the exact same model, so there is no point in buying both for appearance purposes.
There aren't any achievements associated with the weapon arsenals, and the PvP armor set achievements do not require weapon appearances. Note that when buying weapons individually, the appearance is not permanently added to your collection until the weapon is no longer vendorable after the 2 hour vendor buyback wait period, if you delete the items from your bag, if you transmog the item with a different appearance, etc.
Click the links in the "Weapons" column to see the full list of weapons for a given season. Weapons between Season 1 Gladiator and 2 Merciless Gladiator have different names but the same models. Some of the models are shared with Season 6 Furious weapons, but there are also some unique models in this arsenal.
Mark of Honor Costs Below is the cost to obtain all of the armor ensembles and weapon arsenals from each expansion as of Patch 7. The numbers below are assuming you have no armor appearances for any set and that you are starting from complete scratch. I don't recall seeing anything in patch notes indicating that they were removed, but it seems like a lot more than horrible RNG when I haven't seen Marks of Honor in 2 months. Comment by Jacevandever A note of caution that I just found out the hard way, unlocking anything on a class trial character doesn't seem to unlock it account wide.
I spent about an hour earlier trying to find a server with Wintergrasp under Horde control so I could buy the leather shoulders for a transmog. I tried on Alliance first, bought the shoulders for two marks, and no unlock on my Horde character. So I finally found a Horde controlled Wintergrasp, created a level character, mailed it the marks, flew to Wintergrasp and bought the shoulders.
Still not unlocked on the character I wanted to use the transmog on, but wasted 4 marks for literally nothing. Comment by Lisq33 Kitzie Crankshot sells add those and other items bought for MoH here please.
You can still use them for PvP-Vendors. Seems they aren't useless in BfA. Comment by Noobiedoobie Does anyone know if Mark of Honor is still being offered as a pvp quest reward? I know Mark of Honor sometimes drop as a battleground reward but I haven't seen one of these as a pvp quest reward for either Horde or Alliance in a few weeks.
There are, as at the time of writing, no world quests offering Mark of Honor in Zandalar or Kul'tiras. Comment by Aiyun Leedan Gustaf and Ozgrom Ragefang is selling rank 2 and rank 3 recipies for different professionsin Battle for Azeroth for 2 and 4 marks. The gear is the Honorable PVP gears. So it might be good to have some marks saved for this.
Even though I've got almost all armor sets, still need around marks to get all weapon sets 22 sets, each costs 80 marks. Comment by Orkinman I have a lot of these and absolutely no idea where to spend them. I cant even find that out on wowhead. I knoiw you spend them at pvp vendors, but I cant find any who will accept them.
Comment by taylormattd So why does the "currency for" tab not show the fact Marks of Honor are used to purchase a lot of BfA items, including plate, mail, leather, and cloth gear recipies, as well as various consumables from other vendors? Am I missing something? I have a few alts so doing this every time its up, roughly once a week, provides a sizable amount before you know it, like enough to buy recipes, for example. For that mission to show up you need to have done at least any one of the Legion PvP warden tower world quests once, which you can solo in 2 minutes.
After you turn in A Good Dust Up you will get a Battle Report , make sure to delete that from your inventory for the mission to show up again after about a week.
