Back for its 22 nd anniversary, the disco-themed Moonwalk challenge will see thousands of women and men wearing brightly decorated bras as they walk a Full Marathon The Moonwalk is a fundraising event where participants embark on a marathon-long walk wearing their sparkliest, most colourful bras to raise money for breast cancer awareness causes.
Its founder, Nina Barough, had the idea for the night-time race after 25 women who had planned to run the London Marathon for breast cancer did not secure a place.
Undeterred, Nina set up her own one-off race on the eve of the London Marathon in , with herself and a group of determined runners setting off at midnight and finishing the route at 7am the next morning. And thus, the Moonwalk was born! Walkers will be asked to arrive between pm, although the exact start time will be subject to all local authorities and health and safety.
