Where is lombardis pizza in nyc
Overall experience was terrific. Both traditional and white pie perfectly cooked!!! Our experience this The pizza was so bad and so different I asked our waiter if it was under new management or ownership.
It literally tasted and was the size of a Digiorno. I also asked if there were different size pizzas amd was told no but prior to the pandemic they had large pizzas.
Summary: The pizza was small, disgusting and the biggest disappointment of our trip. We will not go back. Tradition over.
If you are walking round Little Italy and want a quintessential NY lunch, as I was, this is the place. Over years of pizza history. Beautiful thin crust pizza, with an interesting range of toppings.

Served with a side of sauce. Seltzer with natural raspberry or vanilla syrup topped with whipped cream. Italy's finest still Panna or sparkling water Pellegrino. Pizza was delicious, highly recommend the doble pepperoni. They no longer have big pizzas. And the ones they do have are expensive. I was just sad to see how small the pizzas have become. They held our table for a long time as we waited for one on our party who was delayed by the rain.
Very nice of them. Good food, excellent location. Unfortunately they put us upstairs, so we couldn't appreciate the restaurant atmosphere properly. Awesome pizza as usual! Like it better on first floor with chairs that are padded. The oldest pizzeria in NYC, certainly not the best.
This pizza is just way too expensive for what you get. The hostess was very friendly, but our waiter wasn't overly friendly. I know it's an "experience", but there are several other pizza spots that are much better. Lived up to all they hype!! We loved it and would definitely go back!! Kind of warm in the very upstairs but we were a large party, try to sit downstairs if possible. Authentic thin crust, brick oven pizza in NYC. It was absolutely delicious!
The self-proclaimed "first pizzeria in America," Lombardi's has long been at the top of the list for tourists looking for a taste of real New York City pizza. Rightfully so, as this Neapolitan style coal oven pizza is top-rate. Unfortunately, to get a taste you'll have to wait in line behind the gaggles of people being dropped off by the double-decker bus load.
The room is Little Italy meets The Olive Garden, and the staff in front sport headsets, which must help keep the place from falling into chaos Either way, it's worth making the trip and waiting it out every once in a while.
A word to the wise, don't sleep on the clam pizza. And make sure you don't get any sauce on your foam Statue of Liberty crown. In our opinion, the true test of a New York City pizzeria is its margherita. Lombardi's standard pizza is very good, with a mild and well balanced tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil.
The char on the crust is perfect. No red sauce, just mozzarella, romano, and ricotta cheese, along with herbs and garlic infused olive oil. A decent pie, but we like us some red sauce. This is a solid move if you are with a big group and are ordering more than two or three pies. Make this the third or fourth on the list. Only a few places in New York City have a clam pizza on the menu. No sauce, no mozzarella cheese - just clams, olive oil, garlic, a little romano cheese, and delicious coal oven crust.
